We´re moving forward and dealing with the subject of "climate change". Below is my view on this issue:
When asked to have my say on the issue of climate change, I just look around and check what most people claim to be "the beginning of the end" to our planet. Put that way, you may sound a bit of an alarmist, nonetheless, the way I see it, the truth doesn´t seem to be so far from reality.
As it occurs with any subject matter which implies massive cooperation at a global scale, the question of to what extent lending a hand for the preservation of the environment is or not worthy may sound urgent to some people, and more of a trite cliché to some others. Over the last few years, "climate change", "global warming " and all this stuff have become so widespread and commonplace that their actual or potential consequences shouldn´t be underestimated. All of it is going forward under our nose: scattered rainshowers, unusual high temperatures, the melting of the ice caps and surprising behaviour of animal migrations, amongst others, have proved to be solid grounds to try and take prompt action, if we don´t want to be rocketed out to space sooner or later.
However useless our ecological efforts as individual citizens may seem at first, we shouldn´t ever lose heart and should stick to our guns when looking after the Earth. As it has historically happened with other groundbreaking struggles such as: the woman´s right to vote, the abolition of slavery, or animal rights, it is the average citizens that the pressure needs to come from . World leaders must become aware of the urgency of solving or slowing down such a pitiful problem, otherwise, the toll it may take on the ecosystems could make life unbearable and impossible to reverse.
What do you make of all of this?
